Reflections

It was just after sunrise on a crisp, cloudless, Spring morning. I almost played the muskrat off thinking that I didn't need another muskrat shot. After all, I had taken thousands of them, a few of which have appeared on the covers of a few magazines. But I am glad I stayed with it, because of all my muskrat images this is one of my favorites.

The muskrat was heading toward this rock when I decided to play along. When it got closer to the rock I began thinking that I might have something here.

Once on the rock I waited for some more light, hoping that the rat would stay there. Just at perfect light the rat worked the rock and put itself in the right position and"Reflections" was born. And just for the fun of it, turn this photo upside down. Kind of a neat twist, isin't it?
